About Me
My Story
My story is simple. I'm a lover of all things edible! My passion for feeding anyone who has a belly, has driven me towards my dream of having my own business. Melba Cakes allows me to be creative while serving others with my delectable treats.

I am not professionally trained as a pastry chef or culinary artist. However, my decades of spending time around those who are, has had a major impact on my relationship with food. My mom, Mable, passed away on February 7, 2022. She was the one who taught me just about everything I know about food. As I continue the healing process of loosing her, I am dedicating my business in her honor.

Deliveries
and Pickups
According to Florida State Cottage Food Laws, I am unable to ship cakes at this time. Whenever I am able to have that option, I will let you know. However, if your are local here in Jacksonville, FL and surrounding areas, delivery is possible.

Pickups are encouraged if you live in Jacksonville.

Delivery charges are reasonable. Call or email for more details.
Order ahead of time
For all cookie orders, please order at least three(3) days in advance, especially if you want them shipped to you. Specialty Decorative cookies, allow at least seven(7) days. They need extra care.

Simple cake orders, please allow seven(7) days for your order to be completed. Most of the time, they will be finished within a couple of days. For example, pound cakes are easier to make and have ready in two days after ordering.
​
Layered cakes will take a bit longer due to the process of making them perfect for you. Allow ten(10) days for your cake to be ready for pickup or delivery. Again, depending on my schedule, your cake will probably be done sooner.

Wedding cake orders will need a non-refundable 50% deposit at least three(3) months in advance. Please contact me for more details on how to make a deposit and for your decorative ideas.
